Ascham
Vocabulary practice from the texts you already teach.
Ascham, named after Roger Ascham, Tudor scholar and tutor to Elizabeth I.
Pronounced ASH-um /ˈæʃ.əm/, our chosen pronunciation.
What it does
- Paste a text, or only the passage you are teaching.
- Ascham picks the words worth teaching, each with the sentence it came from, word for word, and an estimated level, marked ~B2 because it is an estimate.
- Tick the words you want, then print a gap-fill worksheet or a word list, or download cards for Anki.
- Save your work as a project file on your own computer.
